My friend texted me last night, she said she's leaving the office early the next day because she's going to volunteer and then she asked me if I wanted to join her, I replied with a "SURE!"
It was finally my chance to help out those people who were affected by the storm. We first planned to go to White Space (Chino Roces) but then decided to go to UA&P because its closer to our office then when we saw that Louie Aguinaldo was organizing something in La Salle GH, we wanted to go there too. But then we ended up going to Megatent (Ortigas) since its close to our office.
When we go to the office, we already talked about it since there was nothing much to do we decided to go earlier than expected. Anna and Cindy wanted to join in too, which was great!
We got there before lunch time, there wasn't much to do since we were still waiting for donations. After a while we had a meeting and had lunch (from Enderun, thank youuuu!), then off to packing relief goods.
It felt good to do that, since I have never volunteered before. Yes, I would donate, but to personally put things together was a different story. I felt so good, I was able to do something.
It was insanely hot but still we continued to work. We had to stop a couple of times though because we ran out of goods, but then, people still kept on donating. I love it!
KEEP DONATING! Megatent, Ortigas. Its beside Renaissance.
Kudos to the students of UA&P for organizing this. Luff luff!
Well, I do hope that you get to help, even in your own little way. God Bless guys!

FINALLY.
28 September 2009
I wish I could do something more..
I'm stuck at home because my mom didn't allow me to go to the office today. She said its safer here, for now.
I tried to write parts of my manuscript but I really can't focus. Instead, I kept myself updated regarding the victims of Ondoy. So many people are helping out and I'm so glad. Too bad I can't do much to help, just reposting lists of places that accept donations.
I heard that in 3 days there is another storm, Peping. And I hope that we prepare for this, they still don't know how hard it will strike, but we better be ready.
God bless everyone!

The sun came out..
The rain stopped and finally the sun showed up this morning, although its still a bit cold.
Since our cable tv is busted, I kept myself updated through Inquirer and Philippine Star online and even Twitter and Facebook. Manila and 25 more provinces are under the state of calamity and there are a number of deaths and missing people. My heart breaks.
I am just so thankful that we were not affected by the flood and the rain, no dripping inside the house or whatever. So far, its just the cable tv, but who cares? Its all good.
Ondoy caused one of the hardest rains in 40 years, they say. I can just imagine the damage outside, I'm going outside later for some errands, so we'll see.
I still wonder if Metro Manila will be fine by tomorrow, its will be a busy day because I have pullouts and a shoot lined up. I know its kind of weird to talk about work when people are suffering out there, but hey, I just can't help but wonder. And btw, SLEX and NLEX are both closed due to flooding.
God save those people who are affected by the storm.
For those people who live in the south, you can drop off donations over at Alabang New Life inside Alabang Hills. Thank you very much.
Hope everything turns out well soon. Have a good day!

Pour Out
I woke up thinking it was 6am, only to find out that it was actually 9am. The clouds were so dark and it blocked the sun.
Rain, constant rain the whole day. Hard rain, at that.
It caused floods all over the metro and I hear that people even died, some missing.
SLEX closed down and underground walkways in Makati are flooded. I hope and pray for the rain to stop soon.
Please send your prayers to those people who are deeply affected by this storm. Keep safe everyone!

ON GAINING (roughly) 7 LBS
Last night, I drank my tea latte and thought, "I should've gotten regular tea. No milk whatsoever."
Pre-prod was great (BE VERY VERY EXCITED FOR PREVIEW MAGAZINE) and so was the food. Adobo flakes, palabok from San Juan (fact: same place where Erap orders his palabok), vegetarian chicharon with cream cheese topped with adobo flakes, dessert from Pampanga, special polvoron from Lyca (which was soooo addicting), arroz caldo minus the chicken plus Donald Duck and some champagne.
Holy *bleep*! I can't believe that I didn't notice. I've been eating so much these past few weeks. I blame Cit-Cit! HAHAHAHA. I kid.
We just eat all the time, especially when we have nothing to do. We love peanuts, buttery popcorn (drool), pesto pasta and more. And we simply enjoy eating that I really didn't notice. So now, I will be more careful! Haha.
IGAINEDMORETHAN5LBS. There I said it. I must really do something about it. Diet, maybe.
Wait.. I'm hungry.

Manic Mond- TUESDAY
I really really thought that we will be meeting up today, pre-prod for January.

KISS ME THRU THE PHONE
There's something about this song.. ITS EFFIN' SEXY.
Sigh, I finished my very very first Cover Star for the magazine and last night Vince said that I should be the one in charge of doing that, so there's no more rushing since we usually figure out who's doing it when its time to close the issue. Less stress if someone is assigned to it already and that will be me.. YAAAY!
BTW, watch out for Preview's October 2009 issue. I am so excited!

NEXT BEST THING.
Last week, Cit and I have been talking about phones, the iPhone 3G S in particular. And we are both SOLD (if you know what I mean!).
But we considered and even compromised (I was helping her decide). She can get a new phone plus the iPod touch and still save on loads of cash. Right?
Okay, as I was browsing this morning, I saw the new iPod Touch. Much better, much faster than the old one and it even has voice control now! DAYM.
So this might just be the next best thing if we can't get ourselves the gorgeous iPhone 3G S.
I want one, 64GB, please. And Cit, I think you know what to do! *wink*

Quirky Bathroom Door
I loved Frank Hoefsmit's bathroom door in his studio. Well, I love his studio altogether. Super clean lines. Minimalist!
WE SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM
Super late post. Last September 2, Cit and I had ice cream in Yellow Cab Nuvali (clue, clue!) while waiting for the pizza we ordered for roughly 15++ people.
I had strawberry (which was really really pink, btw) and Cit had chocolate.
YUMYUM.
